This track is took me about a year to complete. The lyrics are based around the idea that real relationships bring about growth faster than anything else in life. Often, I feel as though I am stubborn when faced with the opportunity to grow, but God loves me through it and I am able to truly become a different man.
I was super hyped to have Mason Self collaborate on this song! He killed it. Thank you Mason.
lyrics
guiding ghost
shadow, no, a constant call
nevermind
wasted wine, a coward's crawl
sick excuse
broken rhyme, a tattered truth
no less true
open eyes, a promise proved
and I won't
accept that
half love
half life
adopted
renamed
forgetting
that I was
I was a boy a week ago
you were bone from my bone
you were a darling daughter
i was a stubborn son, I was
I was this root that tried to grow
a seed among the stones
you were a loving father
I was stubborn son, I was
which is worse
to know what was, to know what won't
ever be
a comfort comes in passing dreams,
silent stream
of conscientiousness carried with me.
rotten rest,
grafted in my family tree
But I won't
believe that
symptom
of progress
practice
the problem
perfect
the puzzle
untangle
the titles
believe in
redemption
adopted
by Abba
forgetting
that I was
I was a boy a week ago
you were bone from my bone
you were a darling daughter
i was a stubborn son, I was
I was this root that tried to grow
a seed among the stones
you were a loving father
I was stubborn son, I was
I was
I was
I was
I was a different man
I was a different man
I was a boy a week ago
you were bone from my bone
you were a darling daughter
i was a stubborn son, I was
I was this root that tried to grow
a seed among the stones
you were a loving father
I was stubborn son, I was
